There are alternative options and routes, but mail and package deliveries have been affected, with multiple delays. Currently, delays occur primarily on the west coast and the southeastern United States. This is because the USPS can only use indirect flights to San Francisco and the Miami airport. In addition to this, the following situation may also affect the quality and transit times of delivery:
• Downsizing: The United States Postal Service (USPS) confirms a significant backlog of orders at its exchange offices. In some cases, this results in delays of 6 weeks or more. • Lack of follow-up events: A side effect is that, to expedite orders, labels are not always scanned upon arrival in the United States. That is, although the tracking and traceability do not show the arrival at the destination, it is very likely that the shipments have arrived.
